Who knew your favorite morning brew could be the secret weapon against muscle pain? As an avid Runner, Yogi and CrossFitter, I'm no stranger to muscle fatigue. Well, say hello to your new training buddy.👯♀️☕️
Imagine this: you're hitting the gym like a champ, giving it your all. On your 6th round of heavy squats 💥 that dreaded muscle fatigue and soreness kicks in like a brick wall.
So, I’ve been reading, and apparently the caffeine compound found in coffee has some serious perks. 🧠 By blocking adenosine receptors in your brain, caffeine can turn down the volume on pain signals. 🤯 This can cause you to feel less pain after lifting and performing exercises (to an extent). Which can be a good thing if you’re trying to build strength and push your limits.
I guess before you start guzzling gallons of coffee pre workout 🥴remember that MODERATION is key. Too much caffeine can make you feel like you're on a rollercoaster without a seatbelt.
So, let's keep it balanced. Or shall I say, Zen. ☯️
