Superfood Beetroot Latte 💗☕️♥️
Not sure how to incorporate beets into your diet? My dear friend Bianca is a Holistic Nutrition Practitioner and Health Coach focusing on habit transformation. She came by and helped me make these beautiful healthy lattes, full of some key nutrients for your body, heart and brain to help fight inflammation, improve digestive health and balance energy intake.
This is a fun way to get some more pink into your routine. Here's the no-caffeine (I know🥲) recipe if you’d like to try it at home, a great evening alternative and it makes a super cute little v-day date activity at home. 👯
* 2 table spoons of diced steamed beets
* 1 tsp lemon juice 🍋
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1 tsp maple syrup
* 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
* 1 cup milk of choice (macadamia milk)
Using a hand blender or magic bullet, blend the beets with lemon juice, maple syrup, spices and vanilla extract with a tad of cold water until you create a jam consistency. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan to heat it up.
💕Add 1 tablespoon of beetroot jam to the bottom of your cup. Use a hand frother to warm and froth the milk to create a creamy texture or if you have an espresso machine you can use your steamer. Stir in a bit of warm milk to create a layered latte effect.
